5-In-5-Out Plan

Changing to a Whole Food Plant-Based Diet

Probably one of the most difficult things you will have to do in your life is cut out meat and sugar.  It is especially difficult if you love meat and have been eating meat since you were young, or are a sugar addict.

There are several reasons why you might be looking at changing your diet and a serious lifestyle imbalance or chronic illness might be one of the reasons.  It’s not easy – each person adapts differently, all we can say is that you take it one step at a time.  Start with the 5-in-5-out plan and work your way up from there.

If you are ill, you have no choice but to cut out the things that are contributing to your health imbalance, and a good place to start is to start reducing meat, dairy and sugar.   If your health challenge is CANCER, sugar is something you will need to cut out immediately, followed by meat.  You have NO CHOICE in this matter.  Sugar feeds the cancer.

The thing you need to remember here is WHY you are doing this. what is your motive?

Your reasons might be:

  • Becoming healthier
  • Losing weight
  • Concern for animals
  • Reducing environmental impact
  • All of the above
