Parasite Cleanse
Discuss your parasite cleanse with your DBM Physician / Practitioner before beginning.
Evening Before Beginning Parasite Cleanse
Your evening meal should be kept as light as possible so as to prepare the way for the start of your cleanse in the morning.
For those patients/clients on a DBM Program, you may have in addition to a Green and/or Red Cabbage sauerkraut, as much herbal tea, coconut water, any of the hydration recipes on this page or clean water as desired.
In addition to the salad and teas already recommended on your program, a cold raw soup of Gazpacho or a warm clear consommé is acceptable. We would prefer that you NOT eat anything else other than the salad as recommended above. By abstaining from heavy food the night before and during the Parasite Cleanse, you will adequately prepare the body for the cleanse.

- 50ml of spring / borehole water
- On the morning of the cleanse – Dissolve Epsom Salts in about 50ml of lukewarm water and drink after you have drunk the papaya paste PLUS the three glasses of waters as indicated above.
Pumpkin Pips/seeds
Pumpkin seeds are an anthelmintic and contain a substance called cucurbitin that treats worms and other parasites by pralysing them so they can be expelled from the body.
For this Parasite Cleanse please eat ½ cup of raw pumpkin seeds – these are obtainable from your local health shop. For the next week, continue to eat at least ½ pumpkin seeds – enjoy them as a snack, unsalted.
Ginger Tea
Sip ginger tea as needed, should nausea arise.

- Clean hot water
- 1 small knob of fresh ginger [2.5-3.5 cm] peeled and grated (per person)
- Honey to taste – optional
- Lemon to taste – optional
Instructions:
- Boil clean spring or borehole water
- Pour into cups – add grated ginger
- Add honey and lemon if desired
DBM Protocol – Parasite Cleanse #2
Pumpkin Seed Parasite Cleanse
1. Blend 1 cup (around 130 grams) of good quality raw pumpkin seeds in a blender with half a cup of coconut milk and half a cup of water. Coconut milk is very good for intestinal health and recommended but an undiluted cup of a good unsweetened almond milk or hemp milk could also be used. Dairy or sweetened liquids are not recommended as both feed parasites
2. You want the consistency to be like a smooth paste so start by blending in the coconut milk and then add the water in small amounts until it’s smooth and creamy. Getting the mixture out of the blender and into a bowl can be difficult, so use a subber spatula to remove the paste.
3. Eat this pumpkin seed treatment for parasites, just like you would a porridge breakfast, on an empty stomach in the morning. It has a pleasant nutty taste, but is very filling and you may struggle to finish it. Honey and especially sugar is not recommended though as these work against the purpose of the treatment and feed parasites.
4. Within the hour make sure you drink a large glass of water. Several over the next hour would be even better. This is important to keep the pumpkin seed parasite treatment moving along and doing its work.
5. Ayurvedic triphala powder is one of the few beneficial laxatives for occasional use and you can make it up around the same time as the smoothie and let it sit to increase its effectiveness. Use the directions for the stronger dose from the page on how to make triphala and drink it, with the sediment too, allow about two hours after you finish the smoothie to pass before drinking it and before you eat any solid food.
6. Triphala at higher doses (8g) should send you to the bathroom before too long, where hopefully the paralyzed worms will be expelled. If you don’t need to go to the bathroom after having this worm treatment, several glasses of water and triphala or another gentle laxative, then you are probably constipated and may need a stronger remedy like the Epsom Salts the next time you make up this remedy.
Epsom Salts is our first choice as a means of flushing the gut.
