Liver Support

Cabbage Soup


  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ cup red onion, peeled and halved
  • 2 spring onions
  • 2 cloves of garlic, peeled and chopped
  • 2 cups clean spring/borehole water
  • ½ cup cabbage chopped
  • ½ cup carrots, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/3 cup zucchini (baby marrows) chopped
  • ½ stalk celery with leaves, diced
  • 2 large tomatoes peeled
  • ½ tablespoon parsley, chopped
  • ½ small jalapeno pepper or 1 small green pepper. Chopped


  • Heat oil in a small saucepan over medium heat and sauté onion and scallions. Let it sweat and mix in the garlic
  • Add water and bring to a simmer then add the cabbage and carrots and allow to simmer for 4 minutes
  • Add zucchini, celery and tomatoes, simmer for 4 minutes
  • Add the rest of the ingredients and heat through
  • Remove jalapeno or green pepper if the soup is too spicy before blending
  • Remove from the heat and Purée the soup with a food processor or blender
  • Return soup to the pot and heat through
