On this page you can find an abbreviated version of Dr. William Crook’s questionnaire, which he designed to test for Candida. As you can see, it focuses on identifying symptoms and the possible risk factors for Candida.
Questionnaires are a useful way to test for Candida, but they are most effective when used in conjunction with lab tests such as a Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis. Another use for questionnaires is to assist in identifying symptoms and risk factors before you speak to your doctor.
The main difficulty with testing for Candida albicans is that almost everyone has it in their gut. Most of the time this is not a problem at all, and Candida forms part of a healthy gut flora. However, Candida albicans can start to damage your health when it becomes pathogenic and starts to spread through your gut. Questionnaires like this give us a valuable insight into whether Candida is becoming a issue.
